A customer today had issues with booklice. She’s recently moved in to a city centre apartment. All her possessions have been left in storage for 3 months. So it is possible the booklice have been in the storage unit and made their way in to the boxes. It is also possible they were in the apartment already especially if left empty for a long time.
Treatment is fairly simple a spray residual insecticide is applied to surfaces like the window sills, units etc. Then a smoke bomb is set off to knock down all the insects in the room. Smoke detectors have to be covered to prevent them setting the buildings fire alarms off. The building manager was also informed incase they went off even when covered.
